Traitor

I'm happy I didn't get up at 8 in order to watch the match. I arrived home at about midnight after surfing the internet and chatting with Lila at the institute. It was 2 when I went to bed and I needed the alarm clock to wake me at noon. (Well that sounds pretty much like the old Joachim as you all know him, doesn't it?) So I couldn't even make it for the Argentina-Mexico match, which I suppose was great (or is still great, I've just seen it's overtime). Germany-Argentina, that surely will be an interesting duel..

Yesterday we were having lunch together at the institute to celebrate Alicja who had birthday a couple of days ago (that's why I couldn't watch the France-group). It's a good opportunity to show you all of my co-workers, apart from the director (who' busy with his new book) and Kamilla (who's still ill).
Alas-Birthday
From left to right: David, Lucie (Lucka), Sylwia, Alicja (Ala), Erzsébet (Erzi) and Lilla. A short summary of their functions: David (Austria/Political Sciences), Lucka (Czech Republik/Czech and German - not History as I've assumed earlier), Ala (Poland/Irish Literature) and Lilla (Hungary/Psychology) are the four PhD students. They all will leave in August/September and new ones - two guys from Austria and Poland and two ladies from Hungary and the Czech Rebublik - will arrive. Erzi (Administrative and Financial Officer) and Sylwia (Executive Assistant) are the two permanent secretaries (or at least to me that seems to be their function) of the institute.

Just to mention it if you haven't realised it yet: This Blog has a Search Function (Bar right below "Archive"). So if in future you happen to ask yourself "Who is that again?" than type those words in. "Wer ist das nochmal" funktioniert hiermit auch.. (But I just realised that these words are too common, especially in English, and bring too many results. So with "Birthday" or "Traitor" you'd find it easier. Anyway.)

You are right Joachim it was realy a good match. The only think which realy annoys me was that Messie came far to late.I think that Argentinia wouldn`t have need the extra time when he played longer then only seven minutes regular time him. Of course it's a player from the best team in the world :)
At least it will be a very interesting match on saturday
